In eighth grade my English teacher, Mrs. Bauer introduced the class to Rachmaninoff. It was beautiful to listen to but I always went back to my old stand by artists The Jackson Five, The Partridge Family and Bobby Sherman. Fast forward many years when I met my wife Leslie.
Leslie's father and uncle were devout classical music lovers but Leslie never really took after them until we moved to Grass Valley. It is in this small town setting we began to enjoy the classical music concerts presented by InConcert Sierra and Music in the Mountains.
Our love for the music grew and flourished and soon we found ourselves in Paris attending a Vivaldi concert, London at the Opera of La Boheme, in Boston at the symphony, in San Fransisco at the Nutcracker and on it goes.
I want to thank my father in-law who has since left us and uncle David for their gift of classical music. We love it all and I play your classical radio station all day in my office at work. It soothes my soul.
