Who hasn't been scrolling through their music selection wishing for something new, but similar to what you already love?
Music discovery is one of the cornerstones here at CapRadio Music, but we understand sometimes you want/need suggestions specifically tailored to your taste and we're just not that technically savvy yet. That's why there's plenty of room in the music discovery realm for a site like Gnoosic.com.
Type in your three favorite bands and get suggestions of other stuff you might like. My search resulted in these suggestions:
I'd totally forgotten about The Weakerthans and I've got a handful of new bands to try out. Give the site a try and let us know how it worked for you in the comments.
Gnoosic.com is part of a great website family called The Global Network Of Discovery (GNOD). Another fun product from this group is the Music Map, which places names of bands in relation to your favorite band by how likely other people are to enjoy both those artists.
Here's what I got when I put in one of my favorite bands.
I do love most of the bands on this map and the ones I don't love are going on my "to check out" list. Thanks Music Map! It's a pretty fun tool, you can click on any name and that band becomes the center of the map.
Do you like Sacramento rockers Cake? Here's that map.
Go forth and discover music and report back on what you've found!
