Country singer Kacey Musgravesopened this Friday's Tiny Desk Concert with four charming songs from her new album, Pageant Material, which we'll post online soon. But she couldn't possiblyskip "Follow Your Arrow" on the very day the Supreme Court handed down its historic ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges. The 2013 song doubles as an anthem for following your heart wherever it leads: "Make lots of noise / Kiss lots of boys," she sings, adding, "Or kiss lots of girls if that's something you're into."
Before her timely set-closer — a surefire soundtrack to some of the celebrations taking place across the country this weekend — Musgraves acknowledged that the song may well be obsolete. "Now that it's all legal, I don't have anything to sing about," she says. "But here we go anyway."
