Sacramento jazz fusion group Mino Yanci has performed at SXSW, the San Jose Jazz Festival and the Crocker Art Museum. The band’s name blends the words for "Musical Freedom" from Xhosa and Sesotho, two African languages. The band members are keyboardist Damani Rhodes, guitarist Brandon Kendricks, bassist Christian Moore and drummer Stixx.
