The Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus will present an original, multi-media production of a Beatles tribute concert, “Come Together,” June 6 and 7 at the Crest Theatre that will incorporate historic photographs and video footage of the Sacramento LGBT community during the era of the “British Invasion” and the nascent LGBT rights movement. Archival materials will be provided by Sacramento’s Lavender Library Archive and Cultural Exchange. Producer/director Steven Johnson joins us to talk more about the show and the history it includes. We’ll also hear recordings of the Gay Men’s Chorus’ tribute to the Beatles.
