The Celebration Arts Theatre downtown is featuring one of the latest works of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet called "Race." Since it's premiere on Broadway in 2009, the play drama has been featured at theatre companies around the world. In a story that portrays two attorneys who are charged with defending a white man accused of committing a crime against an African-American woman, they must face their own underlying beliefs about race as the trial unfolds. The Sacramento production is directed by James Wheatley starring Alana Mathews, Chris Lamb, Gregory Smith, and Rob Anthony Gray.
