Nevada County’s first permanent homeless shelter is celebrating its one-year anniversary in its new building, Utah’s Place. A concert is planned this weekend in celebration and it will raise funds for its on-going activities. We’ll talk about it with Joanna Robinson, President of the Board of Directors of Hospitality House and widow of the organization’s co-founder Utah Phillips, whom the new shelter is named after. Phillips was a well-known folk singer, poet and author who called Nevada County his home. We’ll also talk with Mikail Graham, producer of Night of Giving, which benefits Nevada County’s homeless.
