His book "Weed Land: Inside America’s Marijuana Epicenter and How Pot Went Legit" is California State University Sacramento’s One Book for 2015 to 2016. Hecht will lecture at noon and 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the University Union Ballroom. Both talks are free and open to the public. He will also participate in a panel discussion for the campus community at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 in the ballroom. Hecht will sign copies of "Weed Land," which is sold in the campus bookstore.
