Cesar Chavez has become an iconic part of California and U.S. history, cementing his legacy as a leader in workers’ rights movements and immigrants’ rights. His famous slogan “Si, se puede” was used by President Obama during his ’08 campaign and his story is taught in schools across the state.
A new exhibit at the California State Fair celebrates the history of Chavez and other leaders in CA Ag labor movements. Marc Grossman was the press secretary and spokesperson for Chavez, he reflects on Chavez’ life and impact displayed in the exhibit.
