A experimental new program at the Crocker Art Museum encourages kids to get interactive with art. Art Spots features four art installations designed specifically for children age 5 and under (and their grownups).
Today on Insight we’ll hear how one of the installations, PL!NK – which was designed by two professors at the UC Davis – allows children to create their own shape-based, interlocking, sculptural forms on the spot (Think giant kaleidoscope being turned inside out, with tiny cameras and sensors that capture your image and sound and distort it).
We’ll also talk with the Crocker Art Museum’s Manage of Museum Learning about how Art Spots was developed.
