Lawmakers are delaying a vote on a series of key bills focused to address the state’s affordable housing crisis. The legislation is getting support from the state’s Democratic controlled House and Senate but the funding mechanisms could face pushback from Republicans.

Also, amid the ongoing floods in Houston, there’s now legislation push a $4 billion bond to address water, flood and park projects around the state.
