With the success of a number of large-scale art project such as Art Street, Wide Open Walls and R Street Block Party, the City of Sacramento is looking for more ways to tap into the creative culture.
Jonathan Glus is the new head of the Sacramento Metro Arts Commission and the Creative Economy Manage for the City. He's leading a new initiative to gather priorities, expectations and needs regarding arts and culture in the Sacramento region. A townhall meeting is scheduled Monday at CLARA, the E. Claire Raley Studios for Performing Arts.
Glus joins us in studio to talk about some of the issues facing Sacramento's artists.
