Pianist Alejandro Sabre will perform a particularly personal program this weekend at the Gallo Center for the Arts. The collection of 36 lyrical piano pieces known as "Basket of Toys for the Young and Old" was written by Jose Sabre Marroquin, who was also Sabre's grandfather.

Sabre joins Beth Ruyak in studio to talk about the work of his grandfather, a well-known Mexican composer who died in 1995, and to perform some of the pieces he'll play Saturday night.
