Now he’s releasing his first book “The Way Back” with help from Bob Stanley of the Sacramento Poetry Foundation. The book is out now under the Random Lane Press publisher. Owens calls in from Mule Creek State Prison to discuss what he’s learned in “the system” and the challenges of publishing a book from prison.
