Dia de los Muertos begins Wednesday with dozens of events happening around Sacramento through the weekend. The California Museum opened a new exhibit this month entitled Arte y Almas, which explores the Latino fight for civil rights in California and honors many of the pioneers in this movement through artwork. Visual artists Luis R. Campos-Garcia (a.k.a. "Lurac") and Oscar Magallanes describe their contributions to the exhibit with Executive Director Amanda Meeker explaining the curation of all the works.
