It's been a month since the deadliest mass shooting in American history when a gunman opened fire on a crowd of people at a festival in Las Vegas. In the wake of that violence, federal legislation to ban "bump stocks" — used by the shooter to modify his weapons to make them more deadly — has languished. Joshua Sugarmann, executive director of the Violence Policy Center, a gun control advocacy group based in Washington D.C., recently joined Beth Ruyak in studio.
