Multimedia Play Tells Story Of Monterrey Chinese Immigrants

A powerful multimedia play about immigration and migration will take the stage this Saturday, Nov. 18 at the historic Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. 

Presented by the Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra, "Red Altar" stars Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo in a story about the founding of the fishing industry in Monterey, California, by Chinese immigrants.

Jeannie Wood, Artistic Director of CATS, joins us in studio to talk about the production and why it's being staged now. We'll also talk with Wang and Kikuchi-Yngojo.
