One of Sacramento’s most celebrated actresses and directors is bringing “The Seagull” to life at American River College.

Janis Stevens has selected a new translation of the script by Christopher Hampton. She joins Beth Ruyak in studio to talk about the lasting legacy of Chekhov’s play.

We’ll also meet actors Evan Lucero and Mieke Rosecrans, who play Victor and Nina in the production that runs through Dec. 3.
