US Dept. of Defense / Courtesy In 2015, Claude Joseph joined Beth Ruyak on Insight to talk about his efforts to ship seven school buses to Haiti. The Northern California man was born in Haiti and started an organization to help people in his homeland through education. Those Angels, Inc. built an elementary school for a small community in Carrefour, but it would only be sustainable if a public transportation system could be started to maintain funding. Enter seven school buses — a gift from the Sacramento City Unified School District. But shipping seven school buses is not an easy feat. Joseph returns to Insight to pick up the story. He joins us in studio and he’s just back from Haiti.
