For more than a 150 years, the Sacramento Children’s Home has provided critical services and housing for foster children and their families. This year, David Baker takes over as the new CEO of the organization with a focus on servicing African American families, improving care for mentally ill children and creating a life-line for the crisis-nurseries in place.

Baker explains the challenges facing the Children’s Home going into the new year and his vision for the organization. He also shares the priority to focus on continuum of care reform in the short term residential therapeutic program.
