In honor of its 30th Anniversary Season, the Auburn Symphony is kicking off its season with a concert this weekend featuring reknowned Cellist Amit Peled. Peled will perform Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1 at the Mondavi Center Sunday, Jan. 21.

Peled is an Israeli cellist known for his artistry and charismatic stage presence. Peled joins us by phone to talk about his early life as a basketball player and how that athleticism translates to his artistry now.
