Snow blanketed the slopes of Lake Tahoe Friday morning and more is in the forecast, as ski-ers remain optimistic about this year’s winter season. As proven in the first snow survey of the year, it’s been unseasonably dry in the region so far.
Andy Wirth is the Chief Operating Officer and President of Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe. He explains how the resort is responding to the dry season. Wirth is headed to Pyongyang for the winter Olympics as a number of athletes from Lake Tahoe will be representing the U.S. team. Note: Andy Wirth is on the Board of Directors at Capital Public Radio.
