For years, jazz harpist Motoshi Kosako has performed across the Central Valley, in the foothills and in his home country of Japan. He’s played with critically acclaimed jazz musicians including Grammy Award-winning reeds player Paul McCandless, master acoustic bassist Bill Douglass and eminent jazz guitarist Akio Sasajima.

Kosako is fascinated in the healing power of music and has conducted research on how music can be integrated into health professions. He performs live in the Insight studios ahead of his Valentine’s Day concert in Grass Valley this weekend.
