Eyes have been focused on Syria this week as President Donald Trump considers whether to respond to a chemical attack conducted by the Syrian government on its own people.
Dr. Keith Watenpaugh is a professor at UC Davis and he has worked extensively with Syrian refugees, primarily students, who have fled the years-long fighting in their country.
