Georgeanne Brennan lives in Davis and owns a house in the Provence region on France. She is also a chef, entrepreneur, farm owner and writer.

A James Beard award-winner, she's written 30 cookbooks with looks into the unique markets, landscapes, scents, foods, wines, textiles, fabrics and literature found in the sun-drenched southern region of France.

Brennan joins Insight to talk about her new book, “Windows on Provence: Musings on the Food, Wine and Culture of the South of France,” which was inspired by her life.

She will appear at the Avid Reader in Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27.
