Keith Lowell Jensen is a prolific comedian and creator in Sacramento. He’s released a number of comedy albums, including his latest “Bad Comedy for Bad People,” and has traveled the world with his stand-up. And now, you can add published author to that resume. Jensen’s first book will be published Tuesday.
"Punching Nazis: And Other Good Ideas" is a collection of essays, stories, interviews and rants about Jensen’s time growing up and into the Sacramento punk music scene in the late 1980s and early '90s. It was a place where weirdos, LGBTQ folk, feminists and allies strived to carve out safe community spaces. Jensen draws parallels between then and our current political and cultural climate.
Jensen will join Insight host Beth Ruyak in studio to talk about the new book. We’ll also hear clips from “Bad Comedy for Bad People.”
