With the rhythms of ragtime, the White Star Orchestra entertained passengers on the Titanic as it set sail in April of 1912. The music continued as the great ship hit an iceberg and sank into the North Atlantic Ocean; not a single musician survived.
Barbara Chronowski, who played a first-class passenger in the film, "Titanic," and ragtime pianist, Adam Swanson, have created a musical journey aboard the Titanic, using music, film, photos, narration and more.
Chronowski and Swanson join Insight host Beth Ruyak with more about this new project and Swanson's original Titanic Rag.
"Titanic: A Musical Journey" will be performed at the Stokes Music Studios & Event Center in El Dorado Hills on May 4 and May 11.
