As the nation waits to see if Senate Republicans will confirm Brett Kavanaugh as the next Supreme Court Justice of the United States, some tangible changes are being made to California laws in the wake of the #MeToo movement. In California, lawmakers introduced more than two dozen bills to combat workplace misconduct and hold offenders accountable, with Gov. Jerry Brown siding with victims’ advocates in some cases and vetoing other bills employers said were too onerous.
