Artists Explore Undocumented Experience In “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU” At Axis Gallery

Curator Aida Lizalde and artist Rob Fatal preview a new group art exhibition “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU” opening at Axis Gallery this weekend. The work explores the holiday of Thanksgiving by bringing suppressed violence and colonialism to the surface.

The exhibition is curated by Aida Lizalde with works by Andres Alvarez, Karlos Rene Ayala, Garrett Daniells, Rob Fatal, Natani Notah, The California Allegory, and Humanizing Deportation.You can see “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU” at Axis Gallery through Nov. 25 at several events:

  • Community Loteria to benefit RAICES on Nov. 3 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

  • Second Saturday opening reception on Nov. 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

  • Artist’s Talk on Nov. 17 at 3:00 p.m.

  • Thanksgiving Drive on Nov. 24 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. to benefit Sacramento Safe Space for Unhomed Youth
