Sacramento City Historian Marcia Eymann and Estella Sanchez of the Sol Collective will preview the Souls of the City Festival, which is the final event in their annual celebration of el Día de los Muertos. Both organizations team up for two weeks of events and workshops, bringing people from across Sacramento together to celebrate the traditional holiday. The event brings the ancient festival el Día de los Muertos to life with live performances by the Maquilli Tonatiuh Aztec dancers, face painting, altars honoring the departed and more.
