Sacramento author Marie Reynolds lost her battle with cancer this past summer, but not before she was able to hold a copy of a book of her poems in her hands. It’s called “Seaworthy.”
The effort to make that happen was a swift one, with the publishing of the book — titled “Seaworthy” — happening in about a week.
Jan Haag is a co-founder of River Rock Publishing, the company that made the book happen. She’s also an author, poet, and Sacramento City College journalism professor and she explains why Reynolds work continues to resonate.
