Vinnie Guidera & The Dead Birds started as a solo project and evolved into an indie rock trio. Their first record, “Lows,” was released in November 2015, featuring Guidera’s acoustic guitar fed through an electric guitar setup for a blend of fuzz and twang.

This weekend Vinnie Guidera & The Dead Birds will release their second album, “Shedding,” which they produced DIY with help from a crowdfunding campaign.

The band is hosting an album release party at Blue Lamp on Nov. 17 with support from local bands Shotgun Sawyer and Eugene Ugly.
