It was back to school – again – for kids in Paradise, Calif., yesterday. After the devastating Camp Fire destroyed much of the city, including many of its school buildings, educators, community leaders and parents have banded together to get as many kids back in classrooms as possible.
Tim Taylor, a Superintendent in the Butte County Office of Education, discusses how the district is working with neighboring counties. We’ll also hear from Kindra Britt, the Community Affairs Director at the Placer County Board of Education, currently on loan to Paradise Unified School District at the interim Public Information Officer, and Tim Herrera, Communications Director for the Sacramento County Office of Education, whose also volunteering his expertise.
