Sacramento indie power pop punk trio Hi, Mom are releasing their debut album, “Songs for Me,” this week. The band started as a solo project for guitarist Bailey Zindel, and in 2017 he was joined by drummer Henry Diem III and guitarist Jack Wittich. They cite influences like Green Day, Alkaline Trio, Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer and The White Stripes.
Hi, Mom joins Insight with a special live performance of music from “Songs for Me” before their album release show at Holy Diver on Jan. 17, with opening sets by The Seafloor Cinema, Fake It and Paper Airplanes.
