'Oh, Freedom!:' Sacramento Theatre Company’s New Production Honors The Underground Railroad

Beginning on Feb. 27, Sacramento Theatre Company will produce "Oh, Freedom!: The Story Of The Underground Railroad." The play guides audiences through the history of chattel slavery and the brave lengths some Americans went to in the name of liberation.

The play’s director, Miranda Lawson, and members of the cast will join Insight to discuss the play’s context, some of the challenges involved in addressing the racist history of the United States and what they hope people will take away from this production.
