The B Street Theatre presents “A Doll’s House Pt. 2” by Lucas Hnath, which is a sequel that picks up where Ibsen’s classic left off. The New York Times called it “smart, funny and utterly engrossing.” The 2018-2019 season was a breakout year for Hnath, as he became the most produced playwright in the US and “A Doll’s House Pt. 2” the most produced play running in 27 theatres.
The play picks up where Ibsen’s classic left off. Iconic feminist protagonist Nora Helmer returns home after 15 years as a successful novelist, soon to be divorced from Torvald.
Lead actress Melinda Parrett and director Dave Pierini join Insight to talk about the production.
“A Doll’s House Pt. 2” opens Feb. 26 and runs through April 7.
