Dr. Hirsh-Pasek is the author of a dozen books on learning and language acquisition. Her books include “Becoming Brilliant: What Science Tells us About Raising Successful Children” and “Einstein Never Used Flash Cards: How Our Children Really Learn and Why They Need to Play More and Memorize Less.” The MIND Institute lecture was focused on how “high quality language environments create high quality learning environments” and the six core principles of learning language. Hirsh-Pasek argues there’s more to learning language than just reading. Before her lecture, she spoke with CapRadio’s Randol White.
