Black comedians will take the stage at Punchline Sacramento for Anthony Robinson’s Black Laughs Matter Comedy Tour. Robinson is based in Portland, Oregon. His comedy is a combination of social commentary and quick thinking onstage.
This show features Robinson with Dejan Tyler, Chazz Hawkins, Chris Riggins and Amber Whitford.
Robinson began doing stand up comedy in Kansas City, Missouri at age twenty-one. He says he left the Midwest to pursue comedy and hasn't looked back since. He has worked with comedians like Ty Barnett, Aparna Nancherla, Rory Scovel, Amy Miller, Aamer Rahman, Baron Vaughn, Curtis Cook, Neel Nanda and John Roy.
His credits include Bumbershoot, NW Black Comedy Festival, Seattle International Competition and NBC Stand Up For Diversity.
Proceeds from this show will be donated to the homeless support organization Waking the Village in Sacramento. The show is for ages 18 and older. Tickets and more information about the show can be found here.
