But these viruses are not the same. One difference is the numbers, as the number of those infected with coronavirus has already overtaken the number who had SARS. This also means the coronavirus is more contagious. As China grapples with how to stem the virus’ spread, the rest of the world is alert to where else infections crop up. At this juncture, there are just five confirmed cases in the U.S. But there is misunderstanding and false information about the coronavirus.
