Pam Houston is an author. She has written novels, essays and short stories and has a new memoir, “Deep Creek: Finding Hope in the High Country.”
Houston’s stories have been chosen for collections, including “The O. Henry Awards” and “Best American Short Stories of the Century.” She has also won teaching awards. Houston teaches in the Low Rez MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts and is Professor of English at UC Davis. She is also the co-founder and creative director of the literary nonprofit, Writing By Writers.
