A four-day early voting period began over the weekend for registered Nevada Democrats who can’t or don’t want to attend their party’s caucuses. This will mark the first time in the history of U.S. presidential caucuses and primaries that an early voting option has been offered.
After what happened in Iowa, Nevada Democratic party officials wanted no possibility of a repeat of the debacle of the app that failed to record and report the results of the caucuses. That app didn’t function as advertised and was originally slated to be used in Nevada, as well. So Nevada’s Democratic Party has abandoned it in favor of paper ballots, iPads and even a Google form.
