For people who are laid off, furloughed or have had their work hours cut, this is a big bill coming at a tough time amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Any changes to the deadline will have to come from the state, and although penalties in some counties are being canceled, Gov. Gavin Newsom has no plans to delay the due date.
