Protests against police brutality and Minneapolis police officers’ killing of George Floyd consumed the weekend in Sacramento.
That includes dozens of other cities across the country, where fires, break-ins, theft and vandalism eventually broke out following mostly peaceful demonstrations. Many community leaders are now calling for more support and a cleanup effort to repair the damage.
We check in with a handful of CapRadio reporters on what happened, including one local bridal shop owner whose business was vandalized.
