The so-called ‘East Area Rapist’ is expected to enter a guilty plea to at least 13 murder charges and 13 rape-related kidnapping charges late June in a Sacramento County courtroom.
Also known as the ‘Golden State Killer,’ Joseph James DeAngelo was arrested in 2018 on crimes he committed during the 1970s and ‘80s. The plea deal would spare DeAngelo’s life as he’d avoid the death penalty.
