On Monday, June 22, Beth Ruyak announced that she will be leaving CapRadio. Her last show as the host of Insight will be this Thursday, July 2 at 9 a.m.
“My eight years as Insight host will finish on July 2, 2020,” said Beth Ruyak. “New adventures are already beginning, and as a curious life-long learner, I am eager to have the capacity to explore them. But, I am leaving with a changed perspective. Stories and experiences shared by you and the Insight guests have taught me, showed me, inspired me, broken my heart sometimes and even made me laugh out loud. I have felt privileged every day to share time with you. You are the best part of Insight.”
“We wish Beth all the best as she moves on from CapRadio,” said Chief Content Officer Joe Barr. “Beth brought humanity, authenticity and an unparalleled community connection to her role as the host of Insight, and we will miss her presence on the show.”
The Insight team will take the week of July 6 off before returning the following week. Beginning July 13, CapRadio’s afternoon anchor Randol White will be Insight’s interim host.
Randol brings years of experience as an anchor, reporter and host for television and radio, and he has a thorough knowledge of the people, places and issues in Northern California and western Nevada. Randol is a smart, thoughtful host who can bring a light touch or pursue serious discussions when needed.
Randol will remain as interim host until we hire a new Insight host, and we will conduct a nationwide search for the position. We will be diligent in finding someone who can take an already strong show to the next level.
Moving forward, CapRadio is fully committed to Insight. It's the town hall for the region and the conversations that happen on Insight play an important role in our community. We look forward to building on everything that Beth and the Insight team have created.
