Temporary Dams In The Delta If drought conditions continue, the California Department of Water Resources plans to temporarily dam three channels in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.  The goal is to control salinity and contain freshwater that could be in short supply.  Paul Helliker, Deputy Director of Water Resources, South Delta Branch Chief explains the where, when, why and how of the proposal.
