Bear Valley Mountain Cooperative A group of homeowner, business owners and residents of Bear Valley recently voted to form a cooperative with an intent to purchase the Bear Valley Resort and Village. The resort and village have been up for sale since early 2013. We’ll talk with Paul Petersen of the Bear Valley Mountain Cooperative and John Wagnon of Vail Resorts about the latest developments in plans to purchase the property.
Breast Cancer Endowment A Placer Country grassroots volunteer group started by three breast cancer survivors is very close to the finish line of its goal of raising $1.5 million to establish a breast cancer research position at the UC Davis Cancer Center. Dr. Ralph de Vere White, Director of UC Davis’ Comprehensive Cancer Center will join us in studio to talk about the effort to create a dedicated breast cancer research position at the Cancer Center as well as UC Davis’ latest research projects. We'll also hear from breast cancer survivor, Carol Garcia, co-founder of the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment.
"Tied Up in Knotts" Karen Knotts will be presenting her one-woman show, “Tied up in Knotts,” at the Harris Center for the Arts in Folsom this weekend. The show is a take on her life in Hollywood with her father, the legendary comedic actor Don Knotts.
