While Congress contemplates President Obama’s plans to degrade and disband ISIS, many who know the politics of the Middle East are skeptical about whether the strategy gets to the root of the problem.

We’ll speak with Sacramento State University Sociology Professor Ayad Al-Qazzaz, who has been teaching about the Middle East for many years and travelled this summer to Qatar.

Also joining the conversation is UC Davis Professor of Modern Islam Dr. Keith Watenpaugh.
