Ed Pandolfino, president of Western Field Ornithologists and a longtime Sacramento resident, is co-author of the book “Birds of the Sierra Nevada: Their Natural History, Status, and Distribution.” Pandolfino spoke with Beth Ruyak in the fall of 2013, shortly after the release of the book, and played some audio recordings of different bird calls you might hear in the Sierra Nevada.
