Diane Covington-Carter’s father raided Omaha Beach in 1944 with 24,000 allied troops. Her book “La Réunion” recounts her father’s following experience in France during World War II and her journey to learn more about his time there. She’ll be signing copies of the book at the Avid Reader in Sacramento Thursday, November 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. She’s also speaking in Grass Valley Saturday, Nov. 15.
